CCHS Students Meet Author, Reyna Grande

Reyna Grande, author of Across a Hundred Mountains, was selected as this year's Woodland Reads author.  Ms. Grande's book was suggested to the group by Cache Creek High School EL Specialist, Christy Fischer.  Ms. Fischer was instrumental in ordering copies of the book and encouraging students to read, relate and respond to it. Students generated questions and interviewed Ms. Grande about her inspiration and experience crafting the heart-breakingly beautiful story of the trials of undocumented migrants, and the loved ones they meet, and lose, along the way.
